Manchester United will miss out on the top four with a North London giant pipping them to a Champions League place, if the Supercomputer’s prediction for the final Premier League table proves accurate.
The battle for the top-four is likely to go down to the wire this season with United, Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham all in contention. United’s form – if not performances – under interim boss Ralf Rangnick have been much improved since he took charge.
As things stand, it is the Red Devils who are currently lying in that final spot. The Hammers lie a point back in fifth, with Arsenal and Tottenham another point adrift.
The North London pair, crucially, however have a number of games in hand.
And after United’s failure to spend in January – one midfielder seemimgly causing alarm by rejecting a move – they are being tipped to miss out.
With Man City as champions, with Liverpool in second and Chelsea in third, the final table doesn’t make good reading for United.
As such, SBK’s supercomputer, as cited by The Sun, is ultimately backing Tottenham to claim fourth spot if the Supercomputer is accurate.
Antonio Conte’s side did strengthen their squad in the January window. Although leaving it late, both Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur arrived from Juventus.
Behind Spurs in fourth and United in fifth, comes Arsenal (6th) and West Ham (7th).
Next in line are Wolves, Leicester, Brighton, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, finishing nicely in the mid-table positions.
Everton, now under the leadership of Frank Lampard, are being backed to pull clear of relegation and finish 14th.
Their signings of Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli ought to give the Toffees more goals from midfield.
And behind them will be Leeds and then Brentford, ensuring Leeds finish exactly where they are now.
Supercomputer predicts relegation places
Newcastle, having made five new signings in January, will avoid relegation – but only just.
Indeed, Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes, Matt Targett and Dan Burn all signed. As such, the Magpies are backed to finish 17th.
And that leaves Burnley, Watford and Norwich facing a return to the Championship.
Both the Hornets and Norwich recently changed their manager, with Dean Smith’s arrival springing a quick improvement.
Indeed, the Canaries are currently sat outside the bottom three, though Rio Ferdinand did fear the break will kill their momentum.
And it’s also curtains for Sean Dyche’s Clarets.
Burnley have been in the Premier League since 2016/17, but their six-season stay now looks destined to end.
