AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of talented Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 23-year-old has joined the Cherries until the end of the season, having chalked up 110 appearances for the Canaries across England’s top two tiers, scoring 14 goals in that time.
Cantwell also has three promotions to his name and could make it a fourth with Bournemouth this term.
His breakthrough at Carrow Road came during the 2018-19 season when he won promotion to the Premier League.
He made a big impact on his first season in the top flight, scoring seven times in 40 games. He also contributed to 14 goals in the Canaries’ Championship-winning team last term.
Bournemouth CEO Neill Blake commented on the five new signings through the door on transfer deadline day.
“We are delighted with the business we have done today and in the window as a whole,” he said.
“We have signed five excellent players who add significant quality to our squad. All of those coming into the club today perfectly fit the profile of player we were looking for, and I’ve no doubt they will hit the ground running here.
“As with James Hill and Ethan Laird earlier this month, these players had many other options but have chosen to join us which speaks volumes for the club, Scott Parker and the direction we are moving in.”
