There was a bizarre penalty awarded in a Bundesliga 2 game this weekend and Edin Dzeko is ready for Halloween, all in Social Shots.
In our weekly feature, we take a look at the best social media posts from across the world of football over the weekend. Football and social media can go hand in hand, but not everyone gets it right. Here, we celebrate those that do, highlighting the posts that have made us chuckle, the videos of wonder goals that we’ve just had to watch again, or just anything we felt simply had to be shared…
Foxes create history as they savage Saints
We reckon the Foxes have had worse Friday nights…

No Silva lining?
It’s not looking good for Toffees boss Marco Silva. The cold hard stats don’t lie and is this a manager who could be making a DWP claim before Christmas?
Everton have failed to win any of the 24 #PL games they’ve fallen behind in under manager Marco Silva.#MOTD live on @BBCOne now: https://t.co/j2AmOxQOyM#BHAEVE pic.twitter.com/bf2vBBr4YQ

Golazo
You say Frank Mulhern is a player. That’s all well and good. But can he do it on a cold Saturday afternoon at Dover? Oh wait…
What a strike!

A clear case of offside?
In the end they added a third and it was all a bit academic. However should this have be disallowed at the Etihad? Your man Raheem Sterling is surely interfering in the keeper’s eyeline?

Seventh heaven for Chelsea
He’s no Roy Wegerle, but fair play to Christian Pulisic for a fine hat-trick to the Blues help sink Burnley at Turf Moor. Chelsea have now won four successive away games in the Premier League, and won their last seven in all competitions. Flying!
HAT-TRICK HERO!
A night to remember for Christian Pulisic as he completes the first hat-trick of his career.

A metaphor for life
Newcastle had four players bearing down on Wolves’ two at St James’ Park on Sunday, but Miguel Almiron took the wrong option, much to the chagrin of those in the Gallowgate. Still, at least one ballboy acknowledged that to err is human, and to forgive is truly divine.
This boy ball giving the thumbs up to Almiron is priceless.

United join 2000 Club
The Red Devils may be having a bit of a mare this season but Sunday’s win over Norwich saw them become the first Premier League side to score 2000 goals.

Gazzaniga – not just a pretty face
Liverpool eventually got over the line against Tottenham to stay eight points clear at the top of the table heading into November. But it was touch and go for a while as Paulo Gazzaniga morphed into prime Manuel Neuer at Anfield after putting in an astonishing shift for the visitors.

Keane salutes two kings of comedy
We could listen to Roy Keane talking about football all day long. Here is his own unique analysis of Danny Rose and Serge Aurier’s respective performances at Anfield.
"Dreadful. Dumb and Dumber I'd call them."
Roy Keane doesn't hold back in his punditry does he!

From bad to worse at the Emirates
Another crazy afternoon in North London. And a quite astonishing reaction from club captain Granit Xhaka after he was subbed off against Crystal Palace.
Granit Xhaka's afternoon:
Plays 61 minutes
Gets subbed off to a chorus of boos from the Arsenal fans
Cups his ear whilst walking off and tells the Arsenal fans to "F*ck off"

A bridge too VAR?
Absolute hell on at the Emirates as Arsenal’s late winner was ruled out despite no clear and obvious error. Is this really what VAR was brought in for folks?
Fans attending Premier League matches are "being treated like idiots."
Do you think VAR needs to be made clearer? #bbcfootball pic.twitter.com/sjX8OTsEVZ

Meanwhile, over in Germany….
If Arsenal fans feel hard done by over VAR this weekend then spare a thought for this poor substitute, who has clearly been ‘merked’ by the officials despite essentially minding his own business.
This is undeniably the funniest thing I’ve seen on a football pitch in quite a while pic.twitter.com/6wKb2GXojY
