There were wins for Aston Villa and Leicester in the Premier League 3pm kick-offs, with Bournemouth, Southampton and Brighton just some of the teams in action.
Aston Villa snatched a late 2-1 victory at Villa Park against Brighton, who scored first through Adam Webster before Jack Grealish equalised deep into first-half stoppage time after Conor Hourihane had a goal ruled out by VAR.
Matt Targett had the final say, though, with a winner deep into second-half stoppage time.
Down on the south coast, it was a quiet first half between Bournemouth and Norwich but the game opened up in the second half. Teemu Pukki had a few more chances after the break but neither side could find a winning goal.
Elsewhere, Leicester won 2-1 against Burnley and Wolves came back from a goal down – having had an opener overturned for offside – to claim a 1-1 draw.
