Barcelona have jumped to the front of the queue to sign a Liverpool and Man City target, while Bayern Munich are ready to launch a raid on Man City – according to Friday’s European press.
BARCA TIPPED TO BEAT LIVERPOOL, CITY TO PLAYMAKER
Barcelona have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Liverpool and Manchester City target Fabian Ruiz next summer.
Indeed, a report in Mundo Deportivo claims that the Catalan giants have made the Napoli and Spain ace their number one transfer target.
Director of football Eric Abidal is said to have scouted the 23-year-old during the Italian side’s clash against Lecce, in which Ruiz had netted a superb long-range strike but attracted criticism over his choice of celebration.
Ruiz, who has earned three senior caps for Spain, and is under contract at Napoli until 2023 and has also been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Liverpool were reported to have been impressed with the player during the recent Champions League clash between the two clubs, which Napoli won 2-0.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is still said to be in the market for a goalscoring midfielder, while City are already looking for a long-term replacement for veteran playmaker David Silva – who could head to MLS in 2020.
