Our man Dave Tindall takes on the Premier League’s Fantasy Football game and will give you some healthy tips each week on who could do the business to boost your points total.

Yay. We’re back from the international break and, as far as I can see, none of my players got injured. I went a bit crazy last time, paying for a raft of transfers to give my line-up a much-needed shake. And it worked. Sort of. The action gets underway at Anfield at 12.30 on Saturday so no need to panic about getting a team sorted for a Friday fixture.

You can follow Dave’s journey throughout the season right here on TEAMtalk…

Gameweek 1 – 87pts

Gameweek 2 – 53pts

Gameweek 3 – 45pts

Gameweek 4 – 76pts

Technically I slipped a position in the league to third. That said, I’m just a point off top spot so it’s tight up there. I still have a remarkable ability to sell people just as they come good, Youri Tielemans the latest example after he racked up 12pts via a goal and an assist v Bournemouth. That said, my decision to go big on Manchester City paid off with Sergio Aguero banking 32pts after I captained him and a healthy 13pt contribution from Kevin De Bruyne. New bargain defender Gary Cahill contributed a clean sheet too. Overall, I’m 408,786th which seems rubbish until you realise over 6.6million managers are playing this game.

Overall points: 245

League position: 3rd

Week 4 breakdown (4-4-2)

Goalkeeper: 2pts

Defence: 21pts

Midfield: 19pts

Forwards: 34pts

Strong effort from the defence with two clean sheets and an assist. De Bruyne rather carried the midfield while Aguero finally gave some potency to the attack.

Man Utd v Leicester

Plan of action

Andrew Robertson TEAMtalk

I launched Project Manchester City a few weeks ago on the basis of their easy domestic fixture list although an away trip to Shakhtar could mean Pep frustrating me by leaving out a big gun. It’s a dilemma as they could rack up a big score at wide-open Norwich so I’m a little loathe to transfer any of my trio (Sterling, De Bruyne, Aguero) out. The extra problem is that Liverpool are at home to Newcastle and I’d be amazed if Mane, Salah or Firmino don’t all start and score well. However, I have £0.9m in the bank and that’s just enough to allow me to get rid of Ricardo Pereira (Leicester at Man Utd) and bring in Andy Robertson who can hopefully provide a clean sheet and an assist in the Reds’ clash with Newcastle.

Out: Ricardo Pereira – £6.0m

In: Andy Robertson – £6.9m

Gameweek 5 team (3-4-3)

Rui Patricio (Wolves) – Chelsea (H)

Andy Robertson (Liverpool) – Newcastle (H)
Lucas Digne (Everton) – Bournemouth (A)
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – Newcastle (H)

Dani Ceballos (Arsenal) – Watford (A)
John McGinn (Aston Villa) – West Ham (H)
Raheem Sterling (Man City) – Norwich (A)
Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – Norwich (A)

Teemu Pukki (Norwich) – Man City (H)
Sergio Aguero (Man City) – Norwich (A)
Josh King (Bournemouth) – Everton (H)

Subs

Maarten Stekelenburg (Everton) – Bournemouth (A)

Matteo Guendouzi (Arsenal) – Watford (A)

John Lundstram (Sheffield United) – Southampton (H)

Gary Cahill (Crystal Palace) – Tottenham (A)

Captain: Sergio Aguero. Can fill his boots again at Carrow Road. Norwich shipped a shedful of goals at home last season.

Vice-captain: Raheem Sterling. Star for England in midweek.

Final thoughts

A change in formation this week to 3-4-3 as I reckon Josh King could score more points at home to Everton than Gary Cahill will away to Spurs. Also, how good was Matteo Guendouzi (7pts) v Spurs?! I’m a convert and will make him first outfield player on the bench.
