Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has prioritised signings in two positions this summer, while Arsenal are eyeing two LaLiga fowards, according to Friday’s European papers.
ARSENAL EYE IMPRESSIVE DOUBLE WINGER SWOOP
Arsenal are in talks to sign a pair of wingers from LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to the latest reports from Spain.
The Gunners were thought to be working under a limited budget of around £40-45million this summer, however reports on Thursday suggested the actual figure is much more and the approach was simply a ploy to try and get targets for cheaper.
Unai Emery is understood to be keen to reinforce the wide areas of his squad this summer, and recently they have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
However, reports in Spain have provided links with two relatively new names in Lucas Vazquez and Malcom of Real and Barca respectively.
According to AS, Arsenal have opened talks with Los Blancos over a deal for Vazquez worth €35m (£31.4), which would comprise of an initial £28.7m with a further £2.7m in add-ons.
The deal could apparently be concluded earlier next week, as the 28-year-old is one of the players Zinedine Zidane is happy to sell in order to raise funds for his summer rebuild at the Bernabeu.
Inter, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all also credited with interest, but Vazquez reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Sport are claiming that Arsenal are looking to sign Malcom from Barcelona on a season-long loan deal with the option to buy permanently in a year’s time.
The Catalan side however would much rather sell Malcom outright this summer to any club who is willing to meet their €40m (£35.8m) valuation.
The 22-year-old is expected to struggle for consistent game time next season, and Malcom’s agent is due to meet with Barcelona chiefs soon for crunch talks over his client’s future.
