Manchester United have designs on signing Inter Milan’s star man, while Unai Emery could be concerned by reports suggesting another big-name manager has his eyes on the Arsenal job, according to Wednesday’s newspapers.
MAN UTD KEEN ON DEAL FOR LAUTARO MARTINEZ
Manchester United are reported to have made Lautaro Martinez their No 1 transfer target this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to add creativity and goals to his attack.
The Argentina forward is fast emerging as one of the world game’s most in-demand stars with Martinez already strongly linked with a move to Barcelona next summer.
But reports in Clarin Sports, an outlet in the player’s homeland, via the Daily Express, claims United are also watching the player with a view to a summer move and may already have sounded out his people over a future move amid his uncertain future at the San Siro.
Inter are desperate to offer the star a new deal and raise the current €96m (£82.9m) exit clause that exists in his deal in the knowledge that the fee is unlikely to put off the big guns if his star continues to rise.
Martinez has seven goals in 13 games, including four in his last four games, so far this season and has formed a brilliant understanding with former United striker Romelu Lukaku in the Inter Milan attack.
