Manchester United have had an ambitious £125m double raid approved, while two Serie A clubs are tracking a Tottenham first-team star – all in Sunday’s papers.

WOODWARD APPROVES HAVERTZ, MULLER RAIDS

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has given the club permission to raid the Bundesliga for Thomas Muller and Kai Havertz, according to reports.

The Red Devils are on the lookout for a new striker, with Bayern Munich man Muller – who was on the club’s radar back in 2014 – said to again be of interest.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz has also been linked with a move to United in recent weeks and, according to the Mirror, Woodward has approved a swoop for the pair which will amount to around £125m.

The newspaper says that club scouts watched Muller against Union Berlin as well as Havertz against Werder Bremen and continue to be impressed by the pair,

While Muller is now on the fringes of Niko Kovac’s squad having started on the bench in five of the last seven games, the Mirror says that the signing of Havertz would be a ‘major coup’.

Leverkusen have put an £85m price tag on his head but with United not adding to their midfield in the most recent transfer window, Woodward has reportedly told the club they are free to bring the German international to the club.
