Manchester United appear to have pinpointed their main two January transfer targets, while there are reports of mutiny at Tottenham, according to Tuesday’s newspapers.
MAN UTD PLOT JANUARY TRANSFER MOVES
Manchester United are preparing for a busy January transfer window, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to save his job.
The Red Devils have made a disappointing start to the new season and currently sit eighth in the Premier League table with eight points from their six games so far.
Solskjaer has, to be fair, been hit with a number of injuries to key men but that has only served to prove that United’s back-up options are not good enough to mount a sustained bid to finish in the top four.
And according to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are ready to back the Norwegian with more signings in the new year.
The report adds that the top two additions Solskjaer wants are Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, 21, and Red Bull Salzburg’s 19-year-old Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland.
The two players certainly fit in with the club’s new policy of signing young, hungry players but are unlikely to appease the Old Trafford faithful, given United have also been linked with the likes of Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen, Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.
