Manchester United are eyeing a surprise double raid on Tottenham, while Arsenal are being linked with a £50m-rated striker – all in Sunday’s papers.
MAN UTD
Tottenham duo Lucas Moura and Eric Dier are reportedly high on Manchester United’s list of transfer targets.
Lucas, who only signed a new five-year deal with Spurs in July, is said to be high on Ole Gunnar Solakjaer’s list of targets – with a move to be made in January or next summer, according to the Daily Star on Sunday.
The 27-year-old has failed to win a regular starting spot under Mauricio Pochettino, despite his Champions League heroics last season, and having scored in the midweek draw at Olympiakos he found himself back on the bench at Leicester.
And the report claims that Pochettino’s lack of faith in him is giving Lucas serious cause for concern.
Unless that situation changes between now and January, Moura will be increasingly keen to quit the north Londoners.
And £50m-rated Moura is not the only unhappy Spurs star on United’s radar right now, the report added.
England midfielder Eric Dier cannot buy a start under Pochettino and although he was on the bench at Leicester, the 25-year-old has not seen a single minute of action for the club this season.
United are known to be in the market for a holding midfielder and believe they could get the player for a bargain fee, having previously been linked with a £50m swoop for the player just a couple of years ago.
