Arsenal are keeping tabs on a talented Rubin Kazan star ahead of a potential January swoop, while Man City are ready to spend whatever it takes to sign an Inter Milan star, according to Saturday’s European papers.

AGENT CLAIMS ARSENAL ARE PLANNING SWOOP FOR RUBIN KAZAN STAR

Arsenal are keen to sign Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to the winger’s agent.

The 18-year-old is turning heads in the Russian Premier League, having forced his way into their side.

And according to Russian news outlet Match TV, Kvaratskhelia is on Arsenal’s radar and could be considered for a January approach from the Gunners.

Kvaratskhelia spent the second-half of last season on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow and while they opted against signing him long term, his agent claims the Gunners are, however, keen amid talk of a January approach.

“There were a lot of suggestions. This is known in Rubin: they came from London to a match with Dynamo, Arsenal looked at it. They are very closely following him.”

“Was Lokomotiv wrong? Time will tell. Four to five years will pass, and if Kvaratskhelia becomes a star, then Lokomotiv was mistaken. If Khvicha remains in Rubin and is an average player in Russia, then I was mistaken.”

“But I believe that I was not mistaken.”

Kvaratskhelia won his first senior cap for Georgia this summer, having previously starred for their Under-19s side.
