Paul Pogba has no intention of trying to force a move to Real Madrid, while a Roma deal for a Liverpool star appears to have hit a snag, according to Thursday’s European press.
POGBA NOT LOOKING TO FORCE UNITED’S HAND
Paul Pogba will reportedly not look to force his way out of Old Trafford before the European transfer window shuts on September 2.
The French midfielder had expected to leave Old Trafford to join Real Madrid this summer, and although is confident that a deal will eventually be done, the 26-year-old does not want to force United into selling.
For their part, United are insisting that Pogba is not for sale at any price, with the club said to be very relaxed about the midfielder’s situation.
Pogba was impressive in the opening game of the new season, a thumping 4-0 win over Chelsea, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains focused on building his team around the former Juventus man.
However, the midfielder’s agent, Mino Raiola, is expected to return to Old Trafford for more talks in a bid to convince them to allow his client to leave the club.
A new meeting is expected next week and the report states it will be to make Pogba’s desire to leave the club clear.
