Arsenal are set to offset an expensive summer of transfers by moving on four unwanted stars this month, while another player looks set to swap Manchester United for Inter Milan, according to Tuesday’s newspapers.

GUNNERS READY TO MOVE OUT FOUR PLAYERS

Unai Emery expects Arsenal to sell or loan out four of his unwanted players this month.

Having embarked on a highly-successful summer transfer window that saw them announce six signings – and even earning a tip of the cap from Jose Mourinho – the Gunners are now ready to trim their squad by allowing a number of fringe men to move on.

“In the next 20-25 days some players will leave. It’s the reason, I want to close our squad clearly,” Emery said recently.

Now according to Football London and via the Daily Mirror, the four players earmarked for departures are Shkodran Mustafi, Mohamed Elneny, Emile Smith Rowe and Nacho Monreal.

Mustafi has endured a miserable time at Arsenal and has been linked with both Monaco this summer.

And having been left out of the squad entirely for Sunday’s win at Newcastle, it seems his goose is cooked with the Gunners and an exit seems inevitable.

“I spoke with him when we finished last season, I spoke with him when we started pre-season and I spoke with him also two weeks ago saying maybe there was the possibility he can leave,” Emery said after Sunday’s win at St James’ Park.

Elneny, meanwhile, has struggled for action under Emery and appears destined for Turkey with both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce emerging as options.

Smith Rowe, just 19, is likely to be loaned out to Germany for the season, having seen his development stall, while Monreal has been linked with Real Sociedad in his homeland having seen his place questioned by the arrival of Kieran Tierney.
