Paulo Dybala is set for showdown talks with Maurizio Sarri on Thursday to discuss if he will be joining Man Utd, while Newcastle are after a United defender, according to Thursday’s papers.

D-DAY FOR DYBALA AS SHOWDOWN TALKS ARE PLANNED

It would appear that Thursday will be decision day for Paulo Dybala to agree his proposed switch to Manchester United.

United have been linked with numerous players so far this summer but it would appear that Dybala is very much towards the top of their list, as talk of a swap deal with Romelu Lukaku for the Juventus ace emerged.

United, who have so far landed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, are keen to ship out Lukaku as he does not fit the way that Ole Gunnar Solskajer wants his team to play.

The Belgian would appear to be more than happy to head to Serie A, having also been linked with Inter Milan, and is already reported to have agreed a move to Turin.

So that just leaves the small matter of Dybala giving the nod to a switch in the other direction, something that is so far proving more problematic.

The Argentine hitman is expected to discuss his future with new Juve boss Maurizio Sarri on Thursday and will make a decision there after.

There had been reports that he was willing to stay and fight for his place with the reigning Serie A champions, but Sarri would prefer to have Lukaku as his leading marksmen – leaving Dybala, who has also been a target for Tottenham, very much out in the cold.
