Manchester United have made moves to block the sales of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, while Arsenal are back on the trail of a Portugal defender, all in the papers.
MAN UTD PUT SKIDS ON DUO’S EXITS
Manchester United have added £30million to their valuation of France midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the Daily Star.
United now want £180m for the 26-year-old player they re-signed for £89million in 2016 and that is out of reach of his former club.
The Mail claim Juventus have ended their interest in Pogba, leaving the way clear for Real Madrid to sign the France international.
Meanwhile, United want £90million for Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku, claim the Daily Telegraph.
Inter Milan have confirmed they have held talks over a move for the 26-year-old, but they likely to be unwilling to go to £90million for the striker, who cost United £75million from Everton.
The BBC report that Lukaku “appears likely to stay at Manchester United” with Inter unable to match United’s valuation as Ole Gunnar Solskajer puts his foot down at Old Trafford.
